About Us
Kingston Montessori is owned and operated by Stephanie Smith. Stephanie is an accredited Montessori Teacher, through the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) and a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE). In 2017, after teaching at a Montessori inspired private school in Ottawa for two years, Stephanie decided to move to Toronto to complete her AMI Montessori training course at the Foundation for Montessori Education. Stephanie taught at a Montessori School in Toronto for three years before relocating to Peterborough where she operated a home based Montessori school for 3.5 years.
Since she was a little girl, Stephanie has dreamed of opening her own school. Her experience in the field of early childhood education,and passion for the Montessori philosophy has brought her to the point in her life where she is ready to make her dream come true.
